Introduction

This will enable users to ensure that their Adobe Acrobat Pro document has the correct layers flattened before it is printed.

  1. If you open a PDF in Acrobat Pro and there are still layers within the document, you can flatten these first.

    • On the left hand pane, you should see the layers button at the bottom. If the left hand pane isn’t visible, click the little arrow in the middle of the left hand side of the screen.

  2. Clicking on the layers button should show the multiple layers if present:

  3. Click the dropdown under layers and you should now see a flatten option.

    • The layers will now be flattened ready for printing.
