    • 1 "Update keychain Password" This is the best option and it should just involve typing your old password – e.g. the password that you used directly before you last changed it.

    • 2 "Create a new keychain" If you can’t remember your last password, of for some reason the above option fails, the next best option is this. You will lose any stored passwords but you will create a new keychain which allow you store passwords going forward.

    • 3 Continue Log in" Generally, this is the option to avoid! This is because the system will then continue to use an old password, which you may have by now forgotten. In some occasions, a mixture of keychains can be present, which can be very difficult to manage. Likewise, this can cause error messages and dialog boxes to appear.

    • If you have clicked option 3 - "Continue Login In" and are now having regular keychain related messages raise a ticket with IT and this can be fixed.

  2. If you choose option 1 - you will be provided with this dialog box. Just enter your previous password and click "Ok". If you choose option 2 - your new keychain will be created and you will be taken directly to the desktop.
