  1. IT Services will from time to time, prompt our laptop users to install windows updates that have downloaded in the background but have not been installed. You will see a message appear on your desktop when we do this (main picture above). These updates can generally be installed in 2 ways. Via a Desktop Icon :-

    • These updates can generally be installed in 2 ways.

    • Via a Desktop Icon :-

    • Look for an Icon on the desktop called Windows Update Install (pic 1) and double-click it to install updates.

    • Via Self-Service :-

    • Launch Self-Service by either left-clicking on the ZENworks icon in the system tray (pic 2) or typing in zenworks application in the windows search bar (pic 3)

    • When in Self-Service, type Windows Update Install in the top right search bar to find and run the updates.

    • If you cannot find the icon on the desktop or when searching Self-Service, then refresh the zenworks agent by right-clicking on the zenworks icon (pic 1) and choosing Refresh and try again.
