Introduction

This guide shows users how to apply a custom dock to all users and existing users. This will ensure that when any user logs in they will get the custom dock.

  1. Set the dock on your profile the way you want it to appear for all users on this machine. Do this by simply dragging icons and removing icons as normal.

    • Once you have made your changes restart your mac so that you can be sure the changes have applied properly.

    • When the machine has restarted and you are happy with the layout open self service and go to the Department Customisations category. Launch the Set Default Options (preference distribution tool) and follow the on screen instructions.

  2. Select Set Defaults Select 'Dock' in the drop down list Select Okay
    • Select Set Defaults

    • Select 'Dock' in the drop down list

    • Select Okay

    • This setting will now apply to all users and existing users.

    • You will be asked if you wish to export the settings. Click yes or no.

    • Your changes will now be confirmed.

    • If you want to make more changes select simply run the tool again.
