Using Staff Desktop - All day working and glitches in log on

When I am working from home (own laptop, remote access- Miscrosoft 8- Firefox browser) using the new system after a time I get a freeze in the system and it seems to overlay multiple pages over each other.

I have found I can rectify this by going back to the Citrix Receiver page and logging in to the staff desk again as my session says it has timed out but this is a bit annoying. Especially as I have to do it multiple times in a working day

Anyone else got this problem, any tips for resolving it?
