Introduction

In some cases the Protected mode of Adobe Reader can cause this message to be displayed.

  1. It is easy to resolve this error message if you receive it when opening a PDF from the Staff Share folders.

  2. Open Adobe Reader X.
    • Open Adobe Reader X.

    • Click Edit

    • Click Preferences

    • Choose the General heading.

    • Untick 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup'
